Applied behavior analysis uses research to improve social skills, communication, and daily living for individuals with autism. The goal is maximum independence.
Each client requires a unique treatment plan with reinforcement-based strategies for progress.
To start the intake process for Autism diagnosis, fill out our website's intake application and wait for a BCBA to contact you. Next, there will be a parent interview, one to two observations, and a series of assessments to determine the best way to help your child. Once the intake report is sent to your insurance company, they will send us authorization to begin sessions
Direct sessions- Sessions can take place at your home and/or center depending on clinical needed. Sessions will be over seen by a BCBA and performed consistently by a direct staff trained to work with your child.
- A BCBA is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst that has a Master’s degree as well as met the BACB’s Standards.
- Following assessments, the BCBA will develop goals for your child to work on and create a program binder. This will be where the BCBA writes programming and tracks overall progress.
- A BCBA will conduct staff training/ supervision training. Initially, a BCBA may be present for the majority of sessions.
- The BCBA overseeing your child’s sessions will also be the one working with you on parent education. This is to ensure individualization.
Sessions are customized for each client. They may involve pairing and introducing demands, with the option for the family to observe. Periods of free time alternate with instruction, using various teaching methods to help your child learn new skills or improve existing ones.
